In the 16th minute Afonso Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Januário Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquim Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Januário Amaro having to interfere. Januário Amaro came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Vilár Torpim's Afonso Leão. But to his dismay, Afonso Leão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Chaves's Januário Amaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Chaves from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute Cristiano Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desiderio Urruti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Fragoso hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, Cristiano Ferraz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chaves fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Amílcar Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Januário Amaro having to interfere. Afonso Leão's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Januário Amaro firmly grabbed it by the left post. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristiano Ferraz was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Cristiano Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chaves's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Ferraz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Desiderio Urruti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 56 played minutes Vilár Torpim got a freekick which was hit by Godfredo Eriz. Patrício Pais lost his temper 59 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Thanks to some nice moves Aldo Torres could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Desiderio Urruti however easily saved by the left post. Aldo Torres who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Desiderio Urruti when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aldo Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Vilár Torpim's goalkeeper Desiderio Urruti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aldo Torres. After 81 minutes, Afonso Leão made it 6-1 with a short kick to the right side. Chaves's Januário Amaro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute, Afonso Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chaves's Januário Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Leão in the 84th minute of play. José Fragoso kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 86thth minute of the game Afonso Leão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chaves's Januário Amaro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 88th minute, José Fragoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso Leão in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Januário Amaro saved Chaves from getting behind. In the 93rd minute Hugo Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Januário Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 minutes, Afonso Leão made it 7-1 with a short kick to the right side. Chaves's Januário Amaro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 98th match minute, Chaves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olívio Gusmão to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Vilár Torpim were the better team. Vilár Torpim's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
