Spectators: 6676 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Virgílio Brites started the match with the kick off. Severiano Valadão charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severiano Valadão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. José Carvalhais might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Máximo Braga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Carvalhais ran back to his position shaking his head. Virgílio Brites fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Máximo Braga having to interfere. Alexandre Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the match, SC Estroil's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Aguiar came free, but Murilo Bento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SC Estroil's zone, António Linhares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murilo Bento came out of the goal and António Linhares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Estroil's Murilo Bento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Linhares in the 25th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, SC Estroil's goal looked a bit too open when António Linhares came free, but Murilo Bento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Alexandre Aguiar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Murilo Bento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Virgílio Brites recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell António Linhares to make the kick off. Alexandre Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 58th play minutes António Linhares shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Murilo Bento and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to SC Estroil getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Marcos Castanheira hit a great ball. SC Pedregal's Diogo Leiria shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 63rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Murilo Bento but with some difficulty. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Alexandre Aguiar put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Murilo Bento. António Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the SC Estroil defense, António Linhares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Murilo Bento. The SC Estroil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Murilo Bento should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, SC Pedregal's Amílcar Bezerra got a free kick in the 84th minute. Alexandre Aguiars short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Murilo Bento to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Lisandro Casado came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the SC Estroil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Casado couldn't finish the play. Virgílio Brites blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Máximo Braga having to make a save. In the 92nd minute, Amílcar Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
