After 71 minutes, Lucas Mendes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guarda FC and the Girabolhos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Girabolhos's Gentil Bentes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Pádua in the 77th minute of play. Gentil Bentes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Simão Bezerra went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 88th minute, Simão Bezerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Girabolhos's goalkeeper Gentil Bentes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Guimarães. Sabino Passos took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Caio Quintela. Caio Quintela dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The Guarda FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
