Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Silvério Bernardes started the match with the kick off. António Meireles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Penela FC's goalkeeper Paulino Palhares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 6 minutes into the game, Aparício Toscano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Penela FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Penela the free kick. A collision led to Penela FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Aparício Toscano hit a great ball. In the 10th minute, Valter Bento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aquilino Seixas spun around in front of the goal 11 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Penela FC's goal. António Meireles in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Paulino Palhares, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Aquilino Seixas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Aquilino Seixas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Penela FC's Paulino Palhares got control of the ball when Daniel Pádua tried to sneak it across the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, FC Penela's António Meireles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulino Palhares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aparício Toscano was shown his second yellow card after 32 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquilino Seixas in the 38th minute of play forced Penela FC's goalkeeper Paulino Palhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Penela's Gualter Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Carvalho in the 40th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Penela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aquilino Seixas came free, but Paulino Palhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd match minute, FC Penela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Meireles to maneuver through the defense. Penela FC's Paulino Palhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Meireles in the 56th minute of play. Aquilino Seixas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulino Palhares having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aquilino Seixas in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulino Palhares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 64 played minutes Penela FC got a freekick which was hit by André Carvalhais. Daniel Pádua's late challenge caught a Penela FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Pádua helped the player get up and apologised. Daniel Pádua hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Vítor Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Gualter Amaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Penela's António Meireles got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aquilino Seixas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulino Palhares having to interfere. In the 89th minute, António Meireles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Penela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Daniel Pádua kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Aquilino Seixas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the FC Penela players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
