Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Laércio Tomé kicked off to start the match. Aloísio Monsanto might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicolas Ferro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aloísio Monsanto ran back to his position shaking his head. Laércio Tomé fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Ferro having to interfere. After 16 minutes, Edgar Barata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lomba FC and the L S Benfica players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes Lomba FC got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Barata. Nicolas Ferro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio Tomé, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute Mariano Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Estevão Domingos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 played minutes L S Benfica got a freekick which was hit by David Salgado. When Aloísio Monsanto came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the L S Benfica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aloísio Monsanto couldn't finish the play. Edgar Barata was shown his second yellow card after 25 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 26th match minute, Lomba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Barata to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute, Alexandre Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When L S Benfica's Laércio Tomé in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Lomba FC's Nicolas Ferro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laércio Tomé in the 45th minute of play. When Laércio Tomé came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the L S Benfica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laércio Tomé couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

But to his dismay, Laércio Tomé quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 72 minutes of play, L S Benfica's Laércio Tomé made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicolas Ferro was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Laércio Tomé had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
