After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Cleto Lonzo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Foitos's supporters rose to their feet, but Cleto Lonzo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Guerreiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Marco Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 15 played minutes Foitos got a freekick which was hit by Cândido Pires. With a little luck, Foitos's Jorge Trindade got control of the ball when Rodrigo Magalhães tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Foitos getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Henrique Nunes hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute of the match, Vítor Amorim tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jorge Trindade saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Foitos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calimeros the free kick. When Henrique Anjos fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Calimeros's protests and gave Henrique Anjos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Calimeros's Henrique Anjos got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 62 played minutes Calimeros got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Borges. Sebastião Cruz took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquim Guerreiro. Joaquim Guerreiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 66 minutes into the match, Foitos's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Amorim came free, but Jorge Trindade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Trindade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Sebastião Cruz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Joaquim Guerreiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
