When Duarte Soveral fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NunoTeam's protests and gave Duarte Soveral a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th minute, Duarte Soveral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristóvão Veríssimo came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Brito Sport Club's 姚勇文. But to his dismay, 姚勇文 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Domingos Peixoto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Fábio Coimbra skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 23rd minute 姚勇文 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristóvão Veríssimo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fábio Coimbra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafim Bernardes in the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafim Bernardes in the 28th minute of play forced Brito Sport Club's goalkeeper Fábio Coimbra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Brito Sport Club's goalkeeper Fábio Coimbra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domingos Peixoto. Fábio Coimbra made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Domingos Peixoto sent off a good shot on target. The Brito Sport Club fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Brito Sport Club's Jacinto Guarda looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 41 minutes Brito Sport Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sálvio Fragoso who took care of the corner kick. Cristóvão Veríssimo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Guarda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Brito Sport Club were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serafim Bernardes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 56 minutes, 姚勇文 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brito Sport Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but 姚勇文 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute Cristiano Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristóvão Veríssimo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 62 minutes, Serafim Bernardes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NunoTeam's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafim Bernardes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fábio Coimbra came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by NunoTeam's Serafim Bernardes. But to his dismay, Serafim Bernardes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. A collision led to Brito Sport Club getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Albertino Rodrigues hit a great ball. Cristóvão Veríssimo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacinto Guarda in the 78th minute. Fábio Coimbra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingos Peixoto in the 80th minute of play. Duarte Soveral was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 83 played minutes NunoTeam got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Soveral. In the 92nd match minute, Brito Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Guarda to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 95 in the game by Jacinto Guarda from a close distance when the talented Cristóvão Veríssimo managed to make a qualified save. NunoTeam's players were relieved. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Brito Sport Club eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
