With his leg Damião Gouveia managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when CopaOeiras's Luís Fonseca fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, SL Liverpool's Damião Gouveia got control of the ball when Gustavo Brás tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Fonseca in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damião Gouveia saved SL Liverpool from getting behind. In the 36th minute, CopaOeiras's Luís Fonseca dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Lúcio Guerreiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, CopaOeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Hermenegildo Pádua came free, but Inácio Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustavo Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Damião Gouveia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Honorato Galvão was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Lúcio Guerreiro notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of SL Liverpool's Damião Gouveia. Damião Gouveia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lúcio Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Honorato Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Lopes having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Vasco Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lúcio Guerreiro took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Damião Gouveia. Damião Gouveia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. A collision led to CopaOeiras getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Adolfo Fontes hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, SL Liverpool's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Guerreiro came free, but Damião Gouveia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of CopaOeiras booed when SL Liverpool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Tristão didn't get a good kick on the ball. The CopaOeiras fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when CopaOeiras's Lúcio Guerreiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luís Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damião Gouveia having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CopaOeiras fully deserved thier win.
