With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Vale in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adolfo Malafaia saved MogaDouro from getting behind. When Márcio Lustosa came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the MogaDouro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Márcio Lustosa couldn't finish the play. Alexandre Azeredo struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Joaquim Coelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MogaDouro. 17 minutes into the game, Jorge Coelho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ulme FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MogaDouro the free kick. Jorge Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute of the match Gaspar Espinosa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joaquim Coelho skillfully saved the ball. In the 24th minute, Humberto Pacheco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ulme FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jorge Coelho was shown his second yellow card after 26 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Jorge Coelho hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Joaquim Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Azeredo in the 28th minute of the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Alexandre Azeredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MogaDouro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Azeredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ulme FC's Joaquim Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Azeredo in the 32nd minute of play. Joaquim Coelho came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by MogaDouro's Márcio Lustosa. But to his dismay, Márcio Lustosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 42 minutes, Horácio Castilho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MogaDouro and the Ulme FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ulme FC booed when MogaDouro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horácio Castilho didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandre Azeredo was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Alexandre Azeredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. MogaDouro's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Azeredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Coelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joel Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Joel Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Santarém struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Adolfo Malafaia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ulme FC. 71 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Santarém was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rodrigo Santarém hit a great ball. David Costa hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Márcio Lustosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 77 minutes, Márcio Lustosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MogaDouro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Márcio Lustosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind MogaDouro's goalkeeper Adolfo Malafaia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joel Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Malafaia having to interfere. The supporters of Ulme FC booed when MogaDouro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Espinosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquim Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Azeredo in the 87th minute of the match. Alexandre Azeredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Joaquim Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandro Delgado hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
