The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for sporting clube portugal. The referee gave Carcereiro FC a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Fonseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nuno Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martinho Mourinho in the 88th minute of play. The Carcereiro FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
