Teófilo Seixas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aleksander Hylander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Porteirinhos FC's André Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasco Palhares in the 18th minute of play. SC Taboaco's Teófilo Seixas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armindo Amaro in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Porteirinhos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gastão Tristão came free, but André Delgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Porteirinhos FC defense, Gastão Tristão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Delgado. The Porteirinhos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Delgado should have stopped the shot. If Aleksander Hylander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armindo Amaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teófilo Seixas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armindo Amaro ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Aleksander Hylander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teófilo Seixas was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Armindo Amaro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Teófilo Seixas firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Catarino Gusmão during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes SC Taboaco got a freekick which was hit by Catarino Gusmão.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aleksander Hylander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match, Alcino Cavaco got a very nice opportunity to score, but André Delgado was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 53 minutes into the match, Catarino Gusmão dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of André Delgado, 0-2. After 59 played minutes SC Taboaco got a freekick which was hit by Gastão Tristão. 62 minutes into the match, Catarino Gusmão dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of André Delgado, 0-3. If Aleksander Hylander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teófilo Seixas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleksander Hylander in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Taboaco's Alcino Cavaco got a free kick in the 70th minute. Porteirinhos FC's Aleksander Hylander got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. André Delgado came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Taboaco's Alcino Cavaco. But to his dismay, Alcino Cavaco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Aleksander Hylander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Teófilo Seixas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vasco Palhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Taboaco eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
