In the 3rd minute Amílcar Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucas Garcia hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Júlio Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Coimbra in the 7th minute of play. Armando Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gil Nunes took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Júlio Barros. Júlio Barros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 17th minute, Armando Paredes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Cuba's André Amaral got control of the ball when Armando Paredes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24th minute, Inviando FC's Armando Paredes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 29th match minute, Cuba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Vale to maneuver through the defense. Armando Paredes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without André Amaral having to make a save. A hard shot 33 in the game by Armando Paredes from a close distance when the talented André Amaral managed to make a qualified save. Cuba's players were relieved. The audience was convinced that Amílcar Fontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but André Amaral was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Júlio Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Nunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute there was a penalty for Cuba. Jorge Monteiro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Júlio Barros. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amílcar Fontes in the 45th minute of play forced Cuba's goalkeeper André Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Paredes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 55th minute of the match Inviando FC got a corner. Cuba's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vítor Matias ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Armando Paredes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cuba's André Amaral did a great save. Cuba's Gil Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Inviando FC defense, Alberto Coimbra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Júlio Barros. The Inviando FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Júlio Barros should have stopped the shot. Alberto Coimbra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Armando Paredes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. André Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. After 75th play minutes Amílcar Fontes shot 3-3, a short shot which went by André Amaral and just under the crossbar into goal. After 78 played minutes Inviando FC got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Garcia. In the 81st minute Armando Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th match minute, Inviando FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Garcia to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the game, Armando Paredes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. André Amaral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. André Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amílcar Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cuba players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Inviando FC.
