Adelino Assis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Lemos in the 14th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Trute's zone, Lúcio Esteves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Leme came out of the goal and Lúcio Esteves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adelino Assis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder Valério, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filipe Lemos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Assis having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Vítor Delgado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee showed Afonso Baptista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 62 played minutes SC Varatojo got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Baptista. Adelino Assis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hélder Valério in the 64th minute. Hélder Valério received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Adelino Assis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lúcio Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Varatojo's Adelino Assis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save SC Varatojo from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Trute had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
