Óscar Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Basílio Falcão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Pinelo FC's goalkeeper Fernando Guarda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Souto. Óscar Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, SC Zebreiros's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Mota came free, but Basílio Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariano Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to SC Zebreiros getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Sílvio Ponte hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaspar Mota in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basílio Falcão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 45 minutes, Gaspar Mota made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. SC Zebreiros's Basílio Falcão tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rubim Espírito Santo to strike the kick off in the second half. Gaspar Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Falcão having to interfere. Rubim Espírito Santo struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Fernando Guarda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Zebreiros. In the 57th minute, Rubim Espírito Santo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Zebreiros fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Fernando Guarda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Souto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 63 minutes of play, SC Zebreiros's João Souto made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Guarda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Óscar Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lúcio Bessa kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th minute Lúcio Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Guarda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio Ponte's late challenge caught a Pinelo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sílvio Ponte helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Zebreiros's Sílvio Ponte got a free kick in the 76th minute. If Rubim Espírito Santo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Dantas's late challenge caught a SC Zebreiros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afonso Dantas helped the player get up and apologised. Fernando Guarda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Souto in the 83rd minute of the match. When Miguel Correia fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pinelo FC's protests and gave Miguel Correia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th minute, one of Pinelo FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pinelo FC. In the 86th minute there was a penalty for SC Zebreiros. Lúcio Medeiros stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fernando Guarda. 3-1. In the 90th minute, João Souto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lúcio Bessa hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Pinelo FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
