Rodrigo Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Fábio Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Vermelhos's supporters rose to their feet, but Fábio Viana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 5th minute Robustiano Salvidor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fábio Viana struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Jorge Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Vermelhos. Jorge Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jorge Tavares came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Caxaria FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Tavares couldn't finish the play. Fábio Viana hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The SC Vermelhos fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when SC Vermelhos's Lucas Gonçalves looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jorge Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Robustiano Salvidor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Monteiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. SC Vermelhos's Robustiano Salvidor managed to work through Caxaria FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Robustiano Salvidor dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After having played for 45 minutes, Henrique Morais managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caxaria FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrique Morais was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Lucas Gonçalves took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Jorge Monteiro to make any attempt to save it. Fábio Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Gonçalves in the 63rd minute of play forced Caxaria FC's goalkeeper Jorge Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caxaria FC's Jorge Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Caxaria FC from getting a goal against them. Robustiano Salvidor came free with the goalkeeper in the 69th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jorge Monteiro could save by the left post. Jorge Monteiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Caxaria FC's Ricardo Fernandes was substituted for Manuel Guarda. Jorge Tavares lost his temper 82 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Caxaria FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty!
