An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Oliveira in the 3rd minute of play forced Pés descalços's goalkeeper Aldaír Fragoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 4th match minute, Pés descalços was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egídio Trindade to maneuver through the defense. Plácido lacerda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Calado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pés descalços's Aldaír Fragoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Pés descalços from getting a goal against them. Plácido lacerda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saúl Castelo Branco in the 15th minute of the match. Adolfo Viegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldaír Fragoso having to interfere. Aldaír Fragoso made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Adolfo Viegas sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, U.D.Airão's goal looked a bit too open when Saúl Castelo Branco came free, but Plácido lacerda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albertino Santiago kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pés descalços's zone, Adolfo Viegas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldaír Fragoso came out of the goal and Adolfo Viegas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 28 minutes into the match, Pés descalços's goalkeeper Aldaír Fragoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gonçalo Oliveira. Plácido lacerda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saúl Castelo Branco in the 34th minute of play. Adolfo Viegass short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Aldaír Fragoso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. João Calado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of U.D.Airão booed when Pés descalços was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saúl Castelo Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Calado to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Saúl Castelo Branco took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Plácido lacerda to make any attempt to save it. Pés descalços's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adolfo Viegas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. In the 90th minute, Adolfo Viegas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aldaír Fragoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. Egídio Trindade charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Egídio Trindade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Chants of Pés descalços echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as U.D.Airão had held the ball for most of the match.
