Spectators: 7132 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 2) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alfredo Veiga took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Augusto Antunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 5 minutes into the game, SC Abegoaria's Alfredo Veiga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Júlio Maltez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Júlio Maltez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. TIGER TEAM's Júlio Maltez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Veiga in the 13th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Antunes in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Júlio Maltez saved TIGER TEAM from getting behind. Augusto Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfredo Veiga hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Júlio Maltez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Afonso Campelo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastião Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. SC Abegoaria's Sebastião Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Campelo in the 39th minute of play. Sebastião Santos didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 46th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. After the first half SC Abegoaria were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Afonso Campelo to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Mário Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Abegoaria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mário Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredo Veiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olavo Telinhos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 66th minute Albérico Quintanilha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Belchior Caetano hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Gonçalo Sá shot a long shot in the 72nd minute and a light blocked Júlio Maltez hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-3. Afonso Campelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Santos having to interfere. Afonso Campelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Sebastião Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. TIGER TEAM's Afonso Campelo got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sebastião Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Campelo in the 80th minute of play. The supporters of TIGER TEAM booed when SC Abegoaria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Nicolas Infante sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Abegoaria's Sebastião Santos didn't even have to move. Afonso Campelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Santos having to interfere. Augusto Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in TIGER TEAM's zone, Alfredo Veiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Maltez came out of the goal and Alfredo Veiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Abegoaria eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
