Geraldo Candeias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The audience was convinced that Sandro Pinto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geraldo Candeias was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. SC Rapa's Geraldo Candeias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Portugal in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Academia Sporting's Noel Portugal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geraldo Candeias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Estevão Lameiras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gong Yang Lin having to interfere. Carlos Baião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gong Yang Lin having to interfere. Gabriel Trindade blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Geraldo Candeias having to make a save. Sandro Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Amável Lousada fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Rapa's protests and gave Amável Lousada a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, SC Rapa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amável Lousada to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sandro Pinto in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geraldo Candeias saved SC Rapa from getting behind. 38 minutes into the match, SC Rapa's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Portugal came free, but Geraldo Candeias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sandro Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Academia Sporting fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Academia Sporting's Sandro Pinto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Henrique Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Estevão Lameiras was the one to do the kick off. With 52 minutes on the clock, André Medeiros commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Laurentino Ruas shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Noel Portugal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Geraldo Candeias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Noel Portugal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, SC Rapa's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Noel Portugal fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 61 minutes into the match, Henrique Anjos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Geraldo Candeias, 0-4. Noel Portugal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geraldo Candeias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Trindade, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. A nice corner shot did that Noel Portugal got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Geraldo Candeias quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 73rd minute, Noel Portugal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geraldo Candeias was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. 79 minutes into the match, Academia Sporting's Noel Portugal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geraldo Candeias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Geraldo Candeias came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Academia Sporting's Noel Portugal. But to his dismay, Noel Portugal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. In the 89th minute, Henrique Anjos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cyprian Piekarczyk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo Candeias having to interfere. Gabriel Trindade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Geraldo Candeias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Academia Sporting's Gong Yang Lin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Estevão Lameiras in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Academia Sporting left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SC Rapa.
