Asseca's Rafael Borba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adérito Monsanto in the 7th minute of play. André Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Asseca's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adriano Paiva was slow to take the kick. During this time Faguiaes FC's players had a chance to rest. Faguiaes FC's Adriano Paiva was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rafael Borba in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gervásio Caires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Borba having to interfere. Abílio Barcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Ramos in the 24th minute of play. André Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Asseca's goal looked a bit too open when Gervásio Caires came free, but Rafael Borba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Adérito Monsanto sped through Asseca's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rafael Borba. Rafael Borba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervásio Caires, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gervásio Caires in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Borba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fernando Ramos struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Abílio Barcelos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Asseca.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Ramos in the 54th minute of play forced Faguiaes FC's goalkeeper Abílio Barcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Abílio Barcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Asseca's Xavier Carneiro got a free kick in the 60th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Faguiaes FC's Adriano Paiva broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Fernando Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abílio Barcelos having to interfere. A collision led to Faguiaes FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Claudemiro Fonseca hit a great ball. In the 71st match minute, Asseca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bento Cunha to maneuver through the defense. Adriano Paiva, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Gervásio Caires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Faguiaes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gervásio Caires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Borba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adérito Monsanto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafael Borba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adérito Monsanto's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Gervásio Caires might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafael Borba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gervásio Caires ran back to his position shaking his head. Pascoal Barroso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rafael Borba. Asseca's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Faguiaes FC's Abílio Barcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Alves in the 85th minute of play. Adérito Monsanto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Rafael Borba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Faguiaes FC's Gervásio Caires got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fernando Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Abílio Barcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Faguiaes FC's Sebastião Severo got a free kick in the 95th minute. Faguiaes FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
