Benedito Barata's late challenge caught a Cangalheiros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benedito Barata helped the player get up and apologised. Benedito Barata hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. A collision led to Cerdeiras getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Nuno Tomé hit a great ball. Jorge Fonseca hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Rui Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Vidal in the 11th minute of the match. In the 14thth minute of the game Dave Driver who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cerdeiras's Higino Teixeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dave Driver scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Higino Teixeira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rui Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Vidal in the 21st minute of the match. Sérgio Santos hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Pedro Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Higino Teixeira managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Cangalheiros's Dave Driver fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Higino Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Driver in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Cerdeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Pinheiro came free, but Higino Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Higino Teixeira acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 41st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Marco Teixeira. Dave Driver recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Cangalheiros's Dave Driver slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Higino Teixeira. That made the score 2-0 after 45 minutes of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dave Driver stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Dave Driver managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cangalheiros's supporters rose to their feet, but Dave Driver was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Higino Teixeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54th match minute, Cerdeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Pimentel to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Cerdeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Boruc Bulkiewicz came free, but Higino Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dave Driver recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cerdeiras's zone, Cristóvão Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Higino Teixeira came out of the goal and Cristóvão Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Higino Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Driver in the 68th minute of play. In the 74th minute, Sérgio Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute, Dave Driver made a precise shot to the right of Higino Teixeira. Cerdeiras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Dave Driver struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Higino Teixeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cangalheiros. If Domingos Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Dave Driver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cangalheiros walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
