Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) Cangalheiros's Dave Driver started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Cristóvão Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. Dave Driver's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Valido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute Boruc Bulkiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Valido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Humberto Casado notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Cangalheiros's Rui Alves. Rui Alves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Cojo FC booed when Cangalheiros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dave Driver didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adolfo Faria during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Rui Alves successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. João Porto kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the game, Jorge Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cangalheiros's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cojo FC the free kick. Sérgio Santos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wilson Valido. Cojo FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 36thth minute of the game Dave Driver who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cojo FC's Wilson Valido was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 38th minute, Marco Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the game, Cangalheiros's Cristóvão Pinheiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Valido made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Severino Quintela to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 56 minutes, Dave Driver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cangalheiros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dave Driver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 58 minutes, Simão Dantas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cojo FC and the Cangalheiros players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cojo FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Simão Dantas hit a great ball. Cojo FC's Wilson Valido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Driver in the 59th minute of play. When Cangalheiros's Dave Driver in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cojo FC's goalie prevented a goal. Dave Driver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dave Driver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristóvão Pinheiro struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Wilson Valido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cangalheiros. Dave Driver kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Cangalheiros's Dave Driver got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dave Driver in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Valido prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st match minute, Cojo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Porto to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Cristóvão Pinheiro took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Wilson Valido to make any attempt to save it. In the 93rd minute of the match Sérgio Santos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilson Valido showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cangalheiros's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
