Mateus Sampaio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Embalados SC's Mateus Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Figueiredo in the 44th minute of play. Mateus Sampaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maule Santos was the one to do the kick off. Maule Santos might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mateus Sampaio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maule Santos ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to SCPSporting Club Portugal getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Tomás Figueiredo hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Maule Santos had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Cristiano Amado charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Embalados SC's Nuno Veríssimo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by António Lima, made in the 79th minute of the game. 81 minutes into the match, Embalados SC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Figueiredo came free, but Mateus Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomás Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Mateus Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 90 minutes, Lucas Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SCPSporting Club Portugal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Pereira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute, Nuno Veríssimo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of SCPSporting Club Portugal booed when Embalados SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isac Henriques didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateus Sampaio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Figueiredo's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SCPSporting Club Portugal had played much better football throughout.
