After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Vivaldo Frois managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arvore FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vivaldo Frois was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliseu Carvalhais breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vivaldo Frois received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Eliseu Carvalhais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute Afonso Lucena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseu Carvalhais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Pouzadinhas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Olavo Noronha came free, but Eliseu Carvalhais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olavo Noronha in the 29th minute of play forced Pouzadinhas FC's goalkeeper Eliseu Carvalhais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Vivaldo Frois had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eliseu Carvalhais. Pouzadinhas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vivaldo Frois was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Vivaldo Frois scored 0-3 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eliseu Carvalhais, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Olavo Noronha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseu Carvalhais having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Olavo Noronha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseu Carvalhais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olavo Noronha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseu Carvalhais having to interfere.

The wind increased when Olavo Noronha made the kick off in the second half. Arvore FC's Vivaldo Frois managed to work through Pouzadinhas FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Vivaldo Frois dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. If Olavo Noronha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vivaldo Frois's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eliseu Carvalhais read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. After having played for 62 minutes, Vivaldo Frois managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arvore FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vivaldo Frois was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Arvore FC's Olavo Noronha got a free kick in the 64th minute. Vivaldo Frois sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olavo Noronha was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 73rd minute. Arvore FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Arvore FC booed when Pouzadinhas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Éder Salvado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vivaldo Frois's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eliseu Carvalhais firmly grabbed it by the left post. Vivaldo Frois fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseu Carvalhais having to interfere. Vivaldo Frois made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 82ndth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Eliseu Carvalhais would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. If Vivaldo Frois had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 91 minutes, Vivaldo Frois managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arvore FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vivaldo Frois was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliseu Carvalhais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olavo Noronha, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Afonso Lucena could shoot a difficult shot in the 96th minute, which Eliseu Carvalhais however easily saved by the left post. Arvore FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
