Afonso Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Festas having to interfere. Adérito Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Bernardo Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Rijo in the 13th minute of the match. Óscar Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Barrocas FC's Gusmão Ribas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Lapas FC's Afonso Pires got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Lapas FC's Hélder Amaral in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barrocas FC's goalie prevented a goal. Raul Barros's late challenge caught a Lapas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raul Barros helped the player get up and apologised. Raul Barros hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The supporters of Lapas FC booed when Barrocas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiano Casado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Lapas FC's Gil Faria tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Lapas FC's Bernardo Brito got control of the ball when Adérito Vargas tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Lapas FC's Hélder Amaral in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barrocas FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 35 minutes of play Barrocas FC's Raul Barros was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The attack was good, but when Hélder Amaral in the 38th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Rogério Pedroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hélder Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Mário Festas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hélder Amaral to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match, Hélder Amaral got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mário Festas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 54th play minute Hélder Amaral came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mário Festas. 0-1. Afonso Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Rogério Pedroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Hélder Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lapas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélder Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mário Festas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hélder Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Hélder Amaral in the 71st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 76 minutes into the game, Jordão Sobral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrocas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lapas FC the free kick. In the 76th minute, Jordão Sobral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hélder Amarals short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Mário Festas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Guilherme Rijo charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guilherme Rijo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Barrocas FC's Guilherme Rijo got a free kick in the 78th minute. Hélder Amaral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Mário Festas made a huge save. Rogério Pedroso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hélder Amaral was extremely unlucky when he, in the 83rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Armando Casado charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armando Casado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Armando Casado hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. The nice shot from Hélder Amaral in the 85thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Mário Festas had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. 87 minutes into the match, Barrocas FC's goalkeeper Mário Festas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogério Pedroso. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barrocas FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gil Faria was slow to take the kick. During this time Lapas FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Gil Faria almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Barrocas FC's Mário Festas did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Amaral in the 91st minute of play forced Barrocas FC's goalkeeper Mário Festas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94thth minute of the game Hélder Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barrocas FC's Mário Festas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Joel Lopes came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Lapas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Lopes couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded Lapas FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Barrocas FC.
