Spectators: 7265 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 100) Calvaria FC's Dag Öberg started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sebastião Faro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alípio Serpa in the 2nd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, 武弘国 sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Adélio Bernardes threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for 武弘国 this time. SC Travessas's Adélio Bernardes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save SC Travessas from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Diamantino Costa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Adélio Bernardes. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Sebastião Faro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Maciel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adélio Bernardes came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Calvaria FC's Dag Öberg. But to his dismay, Dag Öberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Adélio Bernardes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simão Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simão Mota in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adélio Bernardes saved SC Travessas from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dag Öberg got free with Adélio Bernardes in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 29 minutes into the game, Albérico Bettencourt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Sebastião Faro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 32nd minute Simão Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adélio Bernardes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armindo Dias lost his temper 35 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Dag Öberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adélio Bernardes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dag Öberg ran back to his position shaking his head. SC Travessas's Adélio Bernardes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Mota in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Calvaria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Anjos came free, but Sebastião Faro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Maciel to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Calvaria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dag Öberg to maneuver through the defense. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adélio Bernardes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Calvaria FC booed when SC Travessas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alípio Serpa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simão Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Adélio Bernardes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diamantino Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diamantino Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Travessas booed when Calvaria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute of the match Paulino Vasconcelos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sebastião Faro skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Calvaria FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Dag Öberg hit a great ball. After 81 minutes, Dag Öberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Calvaria FC and the SC Travessas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Calvaria FC's Dag Öberg got a free kick in the 81st minute. A collision led to Calvaria FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Dag Öberg hit a great ball. After 85 played minutes Calvaria FC got a freekick which was hit by Dag Öberg. Simão Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adélio Bernardes having to interfere.
