Yuri Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Simons, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Germano Estrela during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th minute, Abraham Simons made a precise shot to the right of Yuri Castro. SC Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abraham Simons in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yuri Castro saved SC Portugal from getting behind. 43 minutes into the match, Carlos Ferreira notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of SC Portugal's Yuri Castro. Yuri Castro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The SC Portugal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abraham Simons was the one to do the kick off.
