Jarbas Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Moniz in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Derriada's goalkeeper Jarbas Borges, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fernando Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarbas Borges having to interfere. Jarbas Borges dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Alexandre Anjos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valter Arruda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Fernando Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Medroa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Rocha couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Raul Moniz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jarbas Borges was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Fernando Rocha struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Jarbas Borges didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Medroa. The Medroa fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Medroa's Raul Moniz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Diogo Quinaz hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Jarbas Borges stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Rocha's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Amado Fontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Alexandre Anjos made a huge save. If Fernando Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amado Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raul Moniz took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jarbas Borges. Jarbas Borges dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Amado Fontes took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Alexandre Anjos to make any attempt to save it. There was no doubt that Medroa were the better team. Medroa's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
