The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedro Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Dércio Brites made a huge save. Aparício Mansilha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Jacinto Morais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jaime Aires fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Ageito's protests and gave Jaime Aires a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SC Ageito's Jaime Aires got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Ageito's goalkeeper Dércio Brites, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Aparício Mansilha notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Vendo Frangos para Fora's Jacinto Morais. Jacinto Morais was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Vendo Frangos para Fora's zone, Jaime Aires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Morais came out of the goal and Jaime Aires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vendo Frangos para Fora's Jacinto Morais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aparício Mansilha in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aparício Mansilha to make the kick off. With a little luck, Vendo Frangos para Fora's Jacinto Morais got control of the ball when Jaime Aires tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jacinto Morais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aparício Mansilha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Aparício Mansilha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Vendo Frangos para Fora's zone, Jaime Aires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Morais came out of the goal and Jaime Aires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to SC Ageito getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Américo Igrejas hit a great ball. Dércio Brites came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Vendo Frangos para Fora's Alexandre Pires. But to his dismay, Alexandre Pires quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 85 played minutes Vendo Frangos para Fora got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Freitas. Jaime Aires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 played minutes Vendo Frangos para Fora got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Freitas. In the 93rd match minute, SC Ageito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Vides to maneuver through the defense. Vendo Frangos para Fora were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
