Duarte Amado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Pedro Porto made a huge save. FigueirinhaFC's Ricardo Veríssimo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Soares in the 20th minute of play. Pedro Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Mourão in the 23rd minute of play. Manhente FC's António Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricardo Veríssimo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, FigueirinhaFC's Emílio Mourão dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. With his leg Pedro Porto managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when FigueirinhaFC's Duarte Amado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 35 minutes into the match, António Garcia notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FigueirinhaFC's Ricardo Veríssimo. Ricardo Veríssimo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emílio Mourão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Manhente FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Simão Pereira hit a great ball. Pedro Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Mourão in the 52nd minute of play. When Zarco Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the FigueirinhaFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zarco Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice moves António Garcia could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Ricardo Veríssimo however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Manhente FC's João Leiria got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute, Januário Rebocho had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 61 minutes into the game, Rui Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manhente FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FigueirinhaFC the free kick. Rui Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. FigueirinhaFC's Ricardo Veríssimo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Soares in the 69th minute of play. Manhente FC's Pedro Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Amado in the 78th minute of play. Ricardo Veríssimo came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Manhente FC's António Garcia. But to his dismay, António Garcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. If Duarte Amado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Veríssimo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Duarte Amado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Porto having to interfere. The Manhente FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented FigueirinhaFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
