With a little luck, SC Satam's Cristiano Esteves got control of the ball when Patrício Macieira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Quintino Calado was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 6th minute. Beirolas FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Júlio Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Cristiano Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quintino Calado, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, SC Satam's Tomás Alves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Paixão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 20 minutes, José Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Satam's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Pereira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute Lourenço Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Paixão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Paixão having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, SC Satam's goal looked a bit too open when Quintino Calado came free, but Cristiano Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mário Pires hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Quintino Calado in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Esteves saved SC Satam from getting behind. Cristiano Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quintino Calado in the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Quintino Calado to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Patrício Macieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SC Satam's zone, Quintino Calado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Esteves came out of the goal and Quintino Calado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61stth minute of the game Patrício Macieira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Satam's Cristiano Esteves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lourenço Magalhães scored 0-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniel Paixão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 68 played minutes Beirolas FC got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Quintanilha. José Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Daniel Paixão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the game, Sandro Furtado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beirolas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Satam the free kick. Sandro Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 86th minute of the match SC Satam got a corner. Beirolas FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rogério Fontes ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 91st minute Lourenço Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Paixão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Satam's Lourenço Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Pereira might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Paixão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Pereira ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Lourenço Magalhães kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Daniel Paixão. That made the score 0-4 in the 98 minute of play.
