Joaquim Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Figueiredo in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to serra da light getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Adolfo Borges hit a great ball. In the 28th minute of the match Cândido Horta shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stan Metcalf showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Tomás Figueiredo put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquim Couto. Tomás Figueiredo scored 1-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquim Couto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. David Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Couto having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulino Serpa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tomás Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes in the game, David Dantas fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Joaquim Couto having to interfere. Joaquim Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquim Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Dantas in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, CalmDown FC's Augusto Luz got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Tomás Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomás Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Joaquim Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cristiano Moura came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the serra da light fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Moura couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute, Tomás Figueiredo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The serra da light fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Joaquim Couto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomás Figueiredo in the 86th minute. David Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stan Metcalf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herberto Pedroso in the 93rd minute of the match.
