The tension between the Cachoeira FC and the Urros FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Óscar Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Urros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Óscar Ferreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lúcio Delgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gil Coelho during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 5th minute, Gil Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute of the match Aristides Palma sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lúcio Delgado skillfully saved the ball. With his leg Lúcio Delgado managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when Urros FC's Sabino Santos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Aristides Palma hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After having played for 15 minutes, Óscar Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Urros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Óscar Ferreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cachoeira FC's goalkeeper Lúcio Delgado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sabino Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Lúcio Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustavo Carrasqueira hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Urros FC's Israel Poças got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Aristides Palma's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Lúcio Delgado - 1-0 was put on the score board in the 30th minute. Cristiano Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Salgado having to interfere. If Cristiano Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Amorim in the 43rd minute of play forced Urros FC's goalkeeper Marco Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Óscar Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Lúcio Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Urros FC's Marco Salgado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Urros FC from getting a goal against them. If Cristiano Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavo Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Salgado having to interfere. Lúcio Delgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabino Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 69th minute, Óscar Ferreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Guerreiro's late challenge caught a Urros FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urros FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cachoeira FC the free kick. 82 minutes into the game, one of Urros FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Albertino Fontes walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When Cristiano Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Cachoeira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Amorim couldn't finish the play. Gustavo Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Marco Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristiano Amorim showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Cachoeira FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Urros FC to leave the ground with a draw.
