After a defensive mix-up in Cachoeira FC's zone, Virgílio Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lúcio Delgado came out of the goal and Virgílio Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Catarino Esparteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Lúcio Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th match minute, Cachoeira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertino Fontes to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Calvelo's Lúcio Delgado threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leandro Madureira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Catarino Ramos hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Lúcio Delgado made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Catarino Esparteiro sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 15 minutes, Catarino Esparteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calvelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Catarino Esparteiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lúcio Delgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristiano Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Correia having to interfere. With a little luck, Cachoeira FC's Lúcio Delgado got control of the ball when Catarino Esparteiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Cachoeira FC's Cristiano Amorim in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 29th minute, Cachoeira FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Catarino Esparteiro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The Calvelo fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Calvelo's Leandro Madureira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cristiano Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Amorim in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Cachoeira FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joaquim Barbosa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Leandro Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Catarino Esparteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leandro Madureira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leandro Madureira in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lúcio Delgado saved Cachoeira FC from getting behind. After having played for 57 minutes, Gustavo Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cachoeira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Catarino Esparteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Catarino Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Calvelo defense, Gustavo Pires kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Correia. The Calvelo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Correia should have stopped the shot. If Gustavo Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Cristiano Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute Leandro Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Delgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Armando Lameiras fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Calvelo's protests and gave Armando Lameiras a yellow card for diving instead. Armando Lameiras kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Cristiano Amorim took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Cristiano Correia to make any attempt to save it. The Calvelo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cachoeira FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Cachoeira FC.
