Oliveira Fernandes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Rui Caeiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gavinheira's Rui Caeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Gavinheira from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eurico Galvão in the 40th minute of play forced Serradas's goalkeeper Manuel Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gavinheira's Rui Caeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Torres in the 43rd minute of play. Oliveira Fernandes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Rui Caeiro made a huge save. In the 46th minute, João Torres made a precise shot to the right of Rui Caeiro. Gavinheira's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eurico Galvão made a kick off. After having played for 62 minutes, João Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Serradas's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Torres scored 2-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rui Caeiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Emílio Lameiras came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Manuel Gomes could save by the left post. Serradas's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Eurico Galvão 81 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Eurico Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaspar Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Emílio Lameiras struck a weak shot in the 95th minute.
