Filipe Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Borges in the 20th minute of play. After 22 played minutes SC Friande got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Faro. A collision led to TFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Eusébio Macedo hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, TFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Borges came free, but Filipe Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Pinto got free with Filipe Pinho in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute, Nuno Faro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Pinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Pinho having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Hélder Ferro kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in TFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! A collision led to TFC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Hélder Ferro hit a great ball. In the 80th match minute, TFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Costa to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in SC Friande's zone, Carlos Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Dias came out of the goal and Carlos Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th match minute, SC Friande was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Faro to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute Cláudio Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The TFC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented SC Friande from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
