Spectators: 7135 (Terracing: 5353, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 141) Rui Santos started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 11 minutes into the game, LIVESTRONG's Eurico Sobral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Garcia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Josué Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Lisboa in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sálvio Raminhos in the 17th minute of play forced GUARDA FC's goalkeeper Daniel Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21st play minutes Rui Santos shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Josué Miranda and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 26thth minute of the game Rui Santos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LIVESTRONG's Josué Miranda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With his leg Josué Miranda managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when GUARDA FC's Rui Santos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in LIVESTRONG's zone, Rui Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josué Miranda came out of the goal and Rui Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd match minute, LIVESTRONG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Fontoura to maneuver through the defense. Rui Santoss short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Josué Miranda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in LIVESTRONG's zone, Vítor Lisboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josué Miranda came out of the goal and Vítor Lisboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 41 played minutes GUARDA FC got a freekick which was hit by Óscar Amorim. In the 42nd minute, Hipólito Estrela sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and GUARDA FC's Daniel Garcia didn't even have to move. After some careless play in the GUARDA FC defense, Eurico Sobral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Garcia. The GUARDA FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Garcia should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eurico Sobral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rui Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Lisboa in the 60th minute of play forced LIVESTRONG's goalkeeper Josué Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Santos took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Josué Miranda. Josué Miranda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Rui Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Rui Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot. GUARDA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josué Miranda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th minute, Vicente Fontoura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Garcia was a little too slow when Eurico Sobral got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 2-3. In the 84th minute Eurico Sobral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vítor Lisboa struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Josué Miranda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GUARDA FC. 91 minutes into the match, LIVESTRONG's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Santos came free, but Josué Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Josué Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Vítor Lisboa came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the GUARDA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Lisboa couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle went the supporters of LIVESTRONG were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant GUARDA FC side.
