If Henrique Borba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Miguel Borba came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Louletanense DC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Borba couldn't finish the play. Sérgio Valério hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Horácio Garcez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henrique Borba to make the kick off. Minhocas's Albérico Seixas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Borba in the 54th minute of play. Daniel Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horácio Garcez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diamantino Ribas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Rodrigues read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Miguel Borba hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Diogo Miguéis's late challenge caught a Louletanense DC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diogo Miguéis helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Minhocas getting a freekick after 100 minutes play. Diogo Miguéis hit a great ball. The Louletanense DC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Louletanense DC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
