Spectators: 7187 (Terracing: 5392, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 142) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Cristiano Fernandes made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Bestida FC's Cristiano Fernandes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Fernandes in the 7th minute of play forced Gateiras's goalkeeper Maurício Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hipólito Carmo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Maurício Maciel came out and tried to block the shot, but Hipólito Carmo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 8th minute. After 10 minutes, Nuno Malafaia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gateiras and the Bestida FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 11 minutes into the match, Bestida FC's Ricardo Taveira broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 13th minute, Cristiano Fernandes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Laurentino Mourão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Maurício Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurício Maciel made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Caio Tinoco sent off a good shot on target. Gateiras's Maurício Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Fernandes in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Gateiras's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Fernandes came free, but Maurício Maciel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Moutinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Bestida FC booed when Gateiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Lage didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Taveira struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Maurício Maciel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bestida FC. A hard shot 36 in the game by Laurentino Mourão from a close distance when the talented Maurício Maciel managed to make a qualified save. Gateiras's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as Bestida FC's Laurentino Mourão slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maurício Maciel. That made the score 3-0 after 39 minutes of play. Cristiano Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maurício Maciel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurício Maciel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laurentino Mourão in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Gateiras's Maurício Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Fernandes in the 55th minute of play. Marcos Moutinho's late challenge caught a Bestida FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcos Moutinho helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Gateiras getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Marcos Moutinho hit a great ball. Maurício Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurentino Mourão in the 62nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bestida FC's Bruno Roriz got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Laurentino Mourão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Maurício Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristiano Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Maciel having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Gateiras's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Fernandes came free, but Maurício Maciel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gateiras's Maurício Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurentino Mourão in the 81st minute of play. Laurentino Mourão might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maurício Maciel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laurentino Mourão ran back to his position shaking his head. After 87 played minutes Bestida FC got a freekick which was hit by Caio Tinoco. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by António Marinho during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Ricardo Taveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bestida FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Taveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurício Maciel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maurício Maciel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Fernandes in the 94th minute of the match. Gateiras's Maurício Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Fernandes in the 96th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Bestida FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
