Nuno Delgado might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidoro Santos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nuno Delgado ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 27th minute of the match Aquilino Ferreira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rui Moutinho skillfully saved the ball. Isidoro Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filipe Horta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isidoro Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Delgado in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Filipe Horta managed to get in a good position for a shot. al-ulyan's supporters rose to their feet, but Filipe Horta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Moutinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Filipe Horta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Moutinho having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in al-ulyan's zone, Nuno Delgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidoro Santos came out of the goal and Nuno Delgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nuno Delgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, SC Formariz's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Horta came free, but Rui Moutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Adérito Lustosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rui Ventura hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. al-ulyan's Isidoro Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Delgado in the 91st minute of play. Basílio Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Isidoro Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The SC Formariz players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented al-ulyan from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
