Spectators: 6641 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 0) After 2 played minutes SC Pretos got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Assis. Emanuel Correia acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 4th minute, took the ball on the long shot from José Machado. Júlio Anjos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. António Henriques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júlio Anjos took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised António Henriques. António Henriques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 26 minutes of play, SC Pretos's António Matos made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. António Henriques was left in no man's land by his defense there! António Henriques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Matos in the 36th minute of play. António Henriques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Anjos in the 38th minute of play. Emanuel Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Melo in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Vítor Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fogueira's supporters rose to their feet, but Vítor Melo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half SC Pretos were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Júlio Anjos was the one to do the kick off. After 58 played minutes SC Pretos got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Brás. When Júlio Anjos came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the SC Pretos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Anjos couldn't finish the play. Fogueira's António Henriques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Fogueira from getting a goal against them. In the 67th minute, Fogueira's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after António Matos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 68 minutes into the game, Armindo Teixeira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fogueira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Pretos the free kick. 72 minutes into the match, SC Pretos's Júlio Anjos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that António Henriques narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Fogueira booed when SC Pretos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Assis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fábio Brás kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Armindo Teixeira was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 75th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute Vítor Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, SC Pretos's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Nunes came free, but Emanuel Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fogueira's António Henriques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Anjos in the 87th minute of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Júlio Anjos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Pretos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júlio Anjos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emanuel Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Melo in the 92nd minute of the match. If Vítor Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ricardo Assis hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Fogueira's Armindo Teixeira tried to score from far away in the 100th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Pretos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
