The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adérito Ruas in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg António Gago saved Copos F. C from getting behind. In the 7th minute, Adérito Ruas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 8 played minutes Corazon D. FC got a freekick which was hit by 楚耀翀. After some careless play in the Corazon D. FC defense, Almiro Freire kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herberto Leite. The Corazon D. FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herberto Leite should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Albertino Varela put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of António Gago. António Gago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adérito Ruas in the 19th minute of play. After 20th play minutes Adérito Ruas shot 2-1, a short shot which went by António Gago and just under the crossbar into goal. After 24th play minutes Adérito Ruas shot 3-1, a short shot which went by António Gago and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 28th match minute, Copos F. C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Delgado to maneuver through the defense. Adérito Ruas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, António Gago skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. António Gago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adérito Ruas in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Almiro Freire to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Copos F. C's goal looked a bit too open when Adérito Ruas came free, but António Gago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertino Varela in the 60th minute of play forced Copos F. C's goalkeeper António Gago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Copos F. C's António Gago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertino Varela in the 62nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Copos F. C's Alexandre Peixoto got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 66thth minute of the game Adérito Ruas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Copos F. C's António Gago was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 67 minutes, Isidro Telinhos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Copos F. C and the Corazon D. FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Isidro Telinhos kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. The Corazon D. FC fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Corazon D. FC's Adérito Ruas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Adérito Ruas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. António Gago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Almiro Freire in the 79th minute of play forced Corazon D. FC's goalkeeper Herberto Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 81 minutes, Adérito Ruas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corazon D. FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adérito Ruas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Albertino Varela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adérito Ruas in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck António Gago prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Luís Espírito Santo fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corazon D. FC's protests and gave Luís Espírito Santo a yellow card for diving instead. Adérito Ruas scored 6-2 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of António Gago, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Corazon D. FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
