FC Avintes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave abcdCF the free kick. Abel Colaço made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Henriques in the 36th minute of play. José Viana was a little too slow when Romão Vilanova got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 2-0. 43 minutes into the match, abcdCF's goal looked a bit too open when Cassiano Luz came free, but José Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

José Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josué Horta, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. During the 54th minute of the match Inácio Vieira completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Inácio Vieira a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to FC Avintes getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Inácio Vieira hit a great ball. Josué Horta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. José Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the FC Avintes defense, Jorge Brito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abel Colaço. The FC Avintes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abel Colaço should have stopped the shot. Viriato Coimbra kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. José Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romão Vilanova, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 85th minute of the match Joel Padilha shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Viana showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Romão Vilanova sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute Josué Horta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
