Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Paulo Avelar started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 2nd minute, Meirinhos FC's João Faria ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rui Modesto. Rui Modesto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Ferreirim FC's Pedro Camacho got a free kick in the 8th minute. Meirinhos FC's Humberto Leão got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 15 minutes of play, Meirinhos FC's Humberto Leão made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rui Modesto was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Meirinhos FC's João Faria in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ferreirim FC's goalie prevented a goal. João Cruz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rui Modesto. Humberto Leão who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Rui Modesto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 31st minute, Humberto Leão made a precise shot to the right of Rui Modesto. Ferreirim FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when João Faria made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Vicente Poças hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute, João Faria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Ferreirim FC's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Leão came free, but Rui Modesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Faria in the 63rd minute of play forced Ferreirim FC's goalkeeper Rui Modesto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Humberto Leão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rui Modesto. Ferreirim FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Humberto Leão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Avelar in the 75th minute of play forced Meirinhos FC's goalkeeper Luís Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Jorge Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferreirim FC's Rui Modesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Leão in the 79th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Humberto Leão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Rui Modesto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Humberto Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Faria in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rui Modesto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jorge Barbosa's late challenge caught a Ferreirim FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Barbosa helped the player get up and apologised. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Meirinhos FC fully deserved thier win.
