Spectators: 6668 (Terracing: 5009, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 9) Samuel Machado started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cabecao's goalkeeper Raimundo Câmara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SC Turiz's Roberto Guarda got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Roberto Guarda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Machado in the 14th minute of play forced Cabecao's goalkeeper Raimundo Câmara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cássio Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murilo Caldas having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aldo Caldas got free with Murilo Caldas in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roberto Guarda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Raimundo Câmara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Machado in the 22nd minute of play forced Cabecao's goalkeeper Raimundo Câmara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filipe Valadares hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, SC Turiz's Roberto Guarda got a free kick in the 29th minute. Aldo Caldas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Murilo Caldas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, Cabecao's Cássio Nunes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Murilo Caldas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 42 minutes into the match, Samuel Machado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raimundo Câmara. Cabecao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Samuel Machado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Samuel Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roberto Guarda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Câmara having to interfere.

The wind increased when Leal Parente made the kick off in the second half. Raimundo Câmara made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Roberto Guarda sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, SC Turiz's Raimundo Câmara threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Samuel Machado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, Cabecao's Raimundo Câmara got control of the ball when Paulino Cavaco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roberto Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samuel Machado in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimundo Câmara saved Cabecao from getting behind. Raimundo Câmara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Machado in the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, SC Turiz's Júlio Vilaverde seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Júlio Vilaverde the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SC Turiz protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Júlio Vilaverde had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 76th minute, one of SC Turiz:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Turiz. Filipe Valadares walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Murilo Caldas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leal Parente in the 82nd minute of play. SC Turiz's Murilo Caldas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Caldas in the 84th minute of play. When Albérico Pinho fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cabecao's protests and gave Albérico Pinho a yellow card for diving instead. If Amílcar Igrejas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cabecao were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Turiz for a fine match.
