If Tozo Ćirić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Abrantes FC's zone, Bento Fontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Soares came out of the goal and Bento Fontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. F.C.Held United's Bento Fontes suffered a sore thigh after 12 minutes and couldn't finish the game. F.C.Held United made a substitution. Adelino Gonçalves replaced Bento Fontes. After a rather tough play, Abrantes FC's Viriato Martins got a free kick in the 14th minute. Augusto Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Barros having to interfere. Filipe Carvalho hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Abrantes FC's Manuel Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Gonçalves in the 22nd minute of play. Tozo Ćirić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Soares having to interfere. After having played for 25 minutes, Adelino Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C.Held United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adelino Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Abrantes FC's Filipe Carvalho in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F.C.Held United's goalie prevented a goal. In the 29th match minute, Abrantes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. After 30 played minutes, F.C.Held United's Carlos Leite shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Manuel Soares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in F.C.Held United reached it. F.C.Held United's Sandro Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Nascimento in the 35th minute of play. Carlos Leite blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manuel Soares having to make a save. The attack was good, but when Adelino Gonçalves in the 45th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Gonçalves in the 47th minute of play forced Abrantes FC's goalkeeper Manuel Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Adelino Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

53 minutes into the game, F.C.Held United's Adelino Gonçalves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Soares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Sandro Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Nascimento in the 56th minute of the match. Filipe Carvalho in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sandro Barros, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tozo Ćirić struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Manuel Soares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C.Held United. After a rather tough play, Abrantes FC's Filipe Carvalho got a free kick in the 69th minute. Tozo Ćirić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adelino Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Soares having to interfere. Sandro Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Augusto Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Carlos Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. F.C.Held United fully deserved thier win.
