After a defensive mix-up in Orada's zone, Henrique Estrela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Porfírio Leme came out of the goal and Henrique Estrela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Porfírio Leme was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Éder Coutinho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 32 minute of play. If Henrique Estrela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dércio Vidigal in the 41st minute of play forced Bernico's goalkeeper Juliano Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dércio Vidigal to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Antero Vilhena managed to get in a good position for a shot. After a rather tough play, Bernico's Valentim Quaresma got a free kick in the 56th minute. If Antero Vilhena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Bernico's Juliano Esteves got control of the ball when Domingos Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 61 played minutes Bernico got a freekick which was hit by Dário Quental. Elias Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Juliano Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orada. In the 63rd minute, Flávio Varanda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the match, Orada's Domingos Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juliano Esteves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Éder Coutinho in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Porfírio Leme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Porfírio Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Éder Coutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Éder Coutinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Porfírio Leme was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Henrique Estrela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Porfírio Leme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dércio Vidigal's late challenge caught a Bernico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dércio Vidigal helped the player get up and apologised. Dércio Vidigal hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
