Filinto Modesto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damião Moutinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Catarinoes:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Malpica FC:s goal. Damião Moutinho went to the wrong direction when Murilo Aguiar was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Filinto Modesto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damião Moutinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Gregório Pádua made a precise shot to the right of Damião Moutinho. Catarinoes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Gregório Pádua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damião Moutinho having to interfere. If Anselmo Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belchior Gois was a little too slow when Anselmo Ferraz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 2-1. Damião Moutinho came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Malpica FC's Gregório Pádua. But to his dismay, Gregório Pádua quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Olívio Portela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Belchior Gois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When Malpica FC's Gregório Pádua in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Catarinoes's goalie prevented a goal. Murilo Aguiar hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Malpica FC's Belchior Gois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Paredes in the 64th minute of play. Damião Moutinho didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Malpica FC's Gregório Pádua shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Catarinoes's Anselmo Ferraz got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anselmo Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belchior Gois having to interfere. In the 75th minute Gregório Pádua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damião Moutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filinto Modesto kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Catarinoes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Gregório Pádua scored to the left of an out of position Damião Moutinho, making the score, 2-4. 85 minutes into the game, Óscar Figueiras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malpica FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catarinoes the free kick. Óscar Figueiras hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Malpica FC's Honorato Velasques got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 90th minute of the match Catarinoes got a corner. Malpica FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ramiro Paredes ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Malpica FC's zone, Olívio Portela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Belchior Gois came out of the goal and Olívio Portela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Óscar Figueiras hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Belchior Gois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olívio Portela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Malpica FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
