After 19 played minutes SC Montemor got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Borges. In the 20th minute, Leal Sesimbra sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Montemor's Nuno Carvalho didn't even have to move. Rodolfo Mesquita was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 24th minute. Trava que é Muito's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Alexandre Luz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patrício Pires read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Trava que é Muito's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Castro came free, but Patrício Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 played minutes Trava que é Muito got a freekick which was hit by Aldaír Monsanto. 33 minutes into the match, SC Montemor's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Mesquita came free, but Nuno Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alexandre Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Amadeu Esparteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 44 played minutes SC Montemor got a freekick which was hit by João Cardoso. After a defensive mix-up in SC Montemor's zone, Rodolfo Mesquita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Carvalho came out of the goal and Rodolfo Mesquita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rodolfo Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 62ndth minute of the game Rodolfo Mesquita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Montemor's Nuno Carvalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amadeu Esparteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Carvalho having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Amadeu Esparteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trava que é Muito's supporters rose to their feet, but Amadeu Esparteiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amadeu Esparteiro in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Mesquita in the 97th minute of play forced SC Montemor's goalkeeper Nuno Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Montemor were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Trava que é Muito's much stronger midfield.
