A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, Botaporrego FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aldaír Baía came free, but Américo Paredes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armin Selvi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Januário Coimbra having to make a save. In the 31st minute, Assento FC's Aldaír Baía dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 37 minutes into the game, Armin Selvi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Januário Coimbra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 42 played minutes, Assento FC's Rubim Ruas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Américo Paredes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Assento FC reached it.

Armin Selvi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Januário Coimbra having to interfere. After 56th play minutes Armin Selvi shot 1-4, a short shot which went by Januário Coimbra and just under the crossbar into goal. 59 minutes into the game, Armin Selvi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Januário Coimbra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aldaír Baía in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Américo Paredes saved Botaporrego FC from getting behind. Domingos Baptista charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domingos Baptista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 69 played minutes Botaporrego FC got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Baptista. In the 71st match minute, Botaporrego FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Baptista to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute of the match Porfírio Salgueiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Américo Paredes skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldaír Baía in the 74th minute of play forced Botaporrego FC's goalkeeper Américo Paredes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Assento FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Januário Coimbra should have stopped the shot. When the match was over Botaporrego FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Assento FC throughout the match.
