SC Gaiata's Inácio Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Lobato in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Branco in the 39th minute of play forced OPORTO DRAGON's goalkeeper Joaquim Falcão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto Setúbal got free with Joaquim Falcão in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. But to his dismay, Jacinto Setúbal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. A collision led to SC Gaiata getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Miguel Amaro hit a great ball. Joaquim Falcão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Setúbal, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 81st minute, SC Gaiata's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Egídio Ribeiro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Miguel Amaro kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. If Jacinto Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Gaiata walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
